Job Description

Tesla's Body Repair Program seeks a Vehicle Detailer in Oakleigh, Australia. This role requires 3+ years of automotive collision repair experience, including detailing techniques (wet sanding, polishing, buffing, waxing). Responsibilities include vehicle inspection, repair, and service; operating hand and power tools; maintaining records; ordering supplies; supporting technicians; and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a team player, and able to follow instructions. This is a full-time position planned to open in Q3 2024. The role involves working with cutting-edge tools and eco-friendly processes to restore Tesla vehicles to their original condition.

Must have:

3+ years automotive collision repair experience
Detailing skills (wet sand, polish, buff, wax)
Operate hand/power tools
Maintain records and order supplies
Teamwork and follow instructions

Good to have:

Retail automotive service experience

What You’ll Do

3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair
Performs entry-level work in the inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles
Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
Perform equipment inspections and adjustments
Maintain records of time and materials
May order shop supplies and parts as required
Perform other related duties as assigned
Help maintain vehicle cleanliness of customer cars
Support journeymen technicians as needed
Knowledge of: Methods, techniques for detailing vehicles - wet sand, polish, buff , wax, etc.
Efficient skills in basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of automobiles

What You’ll Bring

Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail
Willingness to learn new and advanced automotive technologies
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Perform detailed, daily record keeping and reporting
Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
Work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals
Retail automotive service experience is a plus
Valid driver’s license
