Tesla's Body Repair Program seeks a Vehicle Detailer in Perth, Australia to join their team in Q3 2024. The role involves performing entry-level inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles, utilizing advanced tools and eco-friendly processes. Responsibilities include operating hand and power tools, maintaining records, ordering supplies, supporting technicians, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Candidates should possess 3+ years of automotive collision repair experience, detailing skills (wet sanding, polishing, buffing, waxing), knowledge of basic automotive repair techniques, and the ability to follow instructions meticulously. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a team player, and willing to learn advanced automotive technologies. Must have:
  • 3+ years automotive collision repair experience
  • Detailing skills (wet sanding, polishing, etc.)
  • Knowledge of basic automotive repair

  • Retail automotive service experience

What You’ll Do
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive collision repair 
  • Performs entry-level work in the inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles 
  • Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools 
  • Perform equipment inspections and adjustments 
  • Maintain records of time and materials 
  • May order shop supplies and parts as required 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 
  • Help maintain vehicle cleanliness of customer cars 
  • Support journeymen technicians as needed 
  • Knowledge of: Methods, techniques for detailing vehicles - wet sand, polish, buff , wax, etc. 
  • Efficient skills in basic automotive techniques related to repair and servicing of automobiles

  •  Willingness to learn new and advanced automotive technologies 
  •  Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships 
  • Perform detailed, daily record keeping and reporting 
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines 
  • Work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals 
  •  Retail automotive service experience is a plus 
  • Valid driver’s license
