Titmouse is seeking an enthusiastic Building Services Assistant for their Hollywood location. Responsibilities include maintaining the appearance and functionality of four buildings, providing operational support to employees and visitors, handling shipments, coordinating event logistics, and assisting with general building maintenance (e.g., replacing lightbulbs, moving boxes). The role involves interacting with various stakeholders, managing multiple tasks, and utilizing Google Suite. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Reliable transportation and valid insurance are required. This is a full-time, on-site position reporting to the Building Services Manager.

Job Details

Titmouse is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Building Services Assistant to join our team at the Hollywood location. Do you have at least 1 year of corporate experience? If so, you might be the candidate we're looking for!

GENERAL FUNCTION: The Building Services Assistant helps maintain the day-to-day appearance and functionality of the four buildings at the location, provides general operational support to employees, visitors and service providers, general building maintenance support (replacing lightbulbs, bringing boxes from storage, etc.), handles and tracks shipments, and helps coordinate logistics for various events.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND REQUIRED ABILITIES

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an office environment, preferably in entertainment or a creative environment.
    • Be very personable -- this role interacts with employees, visitors and VIPs on a daily basis.
    • Working knowledge of Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Forms).
    • Be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
    • Be flexible/adaptable.
    • Be able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, following through on issues in a timely manner.
    • Able to work independently, as well as collaborate and work effectively with different teams and stakeholders.
    • Must have reliable personal transportation and be able to show proof of current vehicle insurance. (Note that the studio reimburses mileage for work-related driving.)
    • Able to lift up to 50lbs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (overview)

    • Help Building Manager as needed with general studio operational issues: troubleshooting employee service requests, maintaining common areas, coordinating daily repairs/maintenance, assisting with furniture moves, helping with janitorial, parking and security matters.
    • Help field requests and coordinate internal employee inquiries through the online service ticketing system. 
    • Assist with various physical requests like changing overhead lightbulbs, hanging pictures, lifting and carrying boxes and heavy/awkward items up and down stairs.  Use of a ladder is likely.
    • Assist the Building Services Manager with quality control inspections to ensure the studio is presentable and neat at all times, maintaining all common areas in the buildings - lobbies, kitchens, break areas, artist work areas, conference rooms.
    • Help with basic cleaning in the absence of janitorial service (for example, wipe down surfaces, refill supplies, empty trash, etc.).
    • Keep Security informed of visits by employees, visitors and vendors.
    • Assist and communicate with onsite contractors as necessary.
    • Communicate with production crews on workspace setups, as well as print and install signage inserts for nameplates.
    • Order and maintain inventory of office and kitchen supplies.
    • Restock refrigerators throughout the buildings' shared spaces.
    • Receive mail, packages and deliveries; notify appropriate internal parties for pickup and/or coordinate delivery to final destination, including doing a weekly mail run to the Burbank studio.
    • Handle packing and shipping of client gifts, production crew swag, monthly anniversary service pins, annual hoodies.
    • Assist Building Services Manager and Burbank Operations team with coordinating in-house and offsite parties and events.
    • Back-up coverage for Receptionist when needed.
    • Back-up for New Hire Orientations.
    • Run offsite errands as requested.
Location: This position is an onsite position 5 days/week at the studio's Hollywood location.
Work Type: Full-time, hourly (non-exempt)
Reporting to: Building Services Manager (HWD)
