We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities and strategic partnerships at Drive Marketplace. This role focuses on expanding dealer listings, bringing new customers onto the platform, and scaling our marketplace to new heights. Drive is Nine’s brand appealing to the automotive enthusiast, aiming to shape the future of automotive in Australia by providing authoritative reviews, detailed comparisons, and innovative commerce solutions.
Must have:
  • Drive acquisition of new clients and close high-value deals.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Engage with key decision-makers in dealerships.
  • Report on sales activities and pipeline status.
  • Achieve sales targets and dealer listings growth.
  • Influence and build relationships with decision-makers.
  • Drive client satisfaction and engagement.
  • Proven sales/BD/customer acquisition experience.
  • Experience in automotive classifieds industry.
  • Track record of sales success and customer growth.
  • Expertise in sales funnels and negotiation.
  • Strong self-starter and autonomous work ability.
  • Familiarity with KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Valid driver's license.

Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities and strategic partnerships at Drive Marketplace. This role focuses on expanding dealer listings, bringing new customers onto the platform, and scaling our marketplace to new heights. If you’re passionate about the automotive and digital classifieds industries and have a knack for driving growth, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

This remote and on-the-road position will be based around the Perth area.

Day to day you will:

  • Drive acquisition of new clients, negotiate agreements, and close high-value deals with automotive dealerships.
  • Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with both new and existing clients to maximise opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services.
  • Engage with key decision-makers within dealerships and dealer groups, aligning Drive’s solutions with their goals and needs.
  • Maintain regular reporting on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance against KPIs using Salesforce. Present regular updates to senior management.
  • Achieve sales targets and dealer listings growth.
  • Successfully influence and build relationships with decision-makers.
  • Drive client satisfaction and engagement.
  • Regularly report on pipeline progress, activity, and performance.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or customer acquisition roles, within the automotive classifieds industry.
  • Proven track record of sales success and growing customers at scale in fast-paced environments.
  • Expertise in sales funnels, negotiation, and closing high-value deals.
  • Strong self-starter attitude and ability to work autonomously.
  • Familiarity with KPIs and performance metrics related to business development.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Valid drivers license.
