Cirrus Logic is seeking an influential, collaborative, and ambitious Business Development Manager to lead new business ventures within the PC ecosystem. This role involves identifying market trends and opportunities aligned with company growth strategy, and collaborating with internal and external partners, including System on Chip Vendors and Ecosystem Partners, to drive market expansion and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of semiconductor technologies and the PC Ecosystem, with a strong background in business and customer management within the industry. Responsibilities include providing visionary leadership for PC business development, building relationships with strategic partners, ensuring content growth at SoC and SW partners, driving internal teams for enablement, and cultivating relationships with industry partners. The role also involves leading negotiations, developing trusted advisor relationships with partner leadership, planning business reviews, ensuring PC channel infrastructure is in place to drive revenue, and identifying new business opportunities with IHV/ISVs.

We are looking for an influential, collaborative and ambitious candidate, responsible for initiating, developing and leading new business ventures within the PC ecosystem. You will work to identify market trends and new opportunities that align with the company’s growth strategy and should expect to interface directly with internal and external partners (System on Chip Vendors and Ecosystem Partners) to drive market expansion and revenue growth.  

Ideally, you come with comprehensive knowledge of semiconductor technologies and the PC Ecosystem, as well as a strong background working in the business and customer management side of the industry. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the company's PC business development activities at our strategic partners 
  • Form deep and broad level relationships at our strategic partners 
  • Ensure content growth at all SoC (System on Chip) partners and feature expansion at our SW partners 
  • Drive the internal teams to ensure content growth and feature expansion are enabled YoY with reference design activity 
  • Ensure Cirrus silicon is on all SoC reference designs
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at our industry partners 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, engineering, and others, to align strategies and ensure successful execution  
  • Lead negotiations for partnership agreements, contracts, press releases and other business arrangements to secure favorable terms and successful outcomes  
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with partner’s leadership. Plan regular business reviews to help update & keep them current on latest Cirrus and PC trends, technologies and messaging  
  • Ensure PC channel infrastructure is in place to drive and grow revenue outside of leading OEMs (ref designs, collateral, training, pricing)  
  • Look for new business opportunities with IHV/ISVs that lead to new revenue streams for Cirrus Logic  

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Engineering (Computer or Electrical). 
  • 10+ years of experience 
  • Knowledge of semiconductor technologies, market dynamics, and industry trends. 
  • Experience building credibility and collaborating with customers, key opinion leaders and internal stakeholders across multiple functions. 
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. 
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans. 
  • Ability to navigate complex negotiations and deal structures, with a focus on driving value and mitigating risks. 
  • Experience managing significant business initiatives.  
  • Broad technical background across the semiconductor industry 

PC Solutions Team KPIs

  • Cirrus content on SoC reference designs (Intel, Nvidia, QCOM, AMD)  
  • AIC boards and equivalent  
  • Reference designs (BEP Mainstream, AEP Mainstream)   
  • Content growth on reference designs  
  • YoY content growth  
  • YoY Feature Expansion through partners (e.g. Security features through SoC & MSFT) enabling more IC content  
  • Strategic Plan for each SoC Vendor and MSFT  
  • Organizational overview with Key Stakeholders, locations & responsibilities  
  • Cadence of HW to line up to Key critical SoC milestones  
  • Tie to Revenue  
  • Indirectly through DHL/AA - New feature/SoC content enabled per ref design (additive to today)  
  • Directly through channel business (non-DHL)  
  • Revenue growth through the channel business (Non-DHL) YoY
