Job Description
As a Business Finance Executive Manager at Paytm, you will oversee financial planning, analysis, and strategy, driving business growth and profitability. Responsibilities include developing and managing financial models, forecasts, and budgets; conducting variance analysis; collaborating with cross-functional teams for cost optimization; preparing financial statements; analyzing market trends and competitor performance; providing data-driven recommendations; and presenting financial results to leadership and stakeholders. The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, proficiency in financial modeling and Excel, and experience with data SQL tools. Experience in fintech or consumer internet is preferred. This position focuses on the Recharge and Bill Payments and Consumer Transit businesses within Paytm.

About the Team: Analytics- Bills Payments
Recharge and Bill Payments - Recharge and Bill Payments is one of the largest consumer businesses of Paytm. It supports Bill payments and Recharges for more than 25 different categories - Mobile, electricity, DTH, Credit card bill payment, education fee payment, Metro recharge, loans and insurance premium payment, rent payment and so on. Millions of users use this functionality on a daily basis. Scale of this technology platform is bigger than many large digital payment companies in India.Consumer Transit - It's one of the largest consumer businesses of Paytm ecosystem. This team builds products in the consumer Transit domain. Fastag is one of the biggest products of this team. Paytm works in both Fastag Issuance and Fastag acquiring businesses. Paytm is the number one Fastag Issuer and Fastag acquirer platform. This team also takes care of building products to automate payments on parking and city travel.
About the role: You'll oversee financial planning, analysis, and strategy, driving business growth and profitability.
Expectations/ Requirements
1. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for cost optimization.
2. Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
3. Strategic Planning & Decision Support
- Analyze market trends, competitor performance, and industry developments.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to inform business strategy.
4. Stakeholder Communication
- Present financial results and insights to executive leadership, investors, and board members.
Superpowers/ Skills that will help you succeed in this role:
- 2+ years of experience in finance, preferably in fintech or consumer internet
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CA/MBA/CFA preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and Excel
- Experience with data SQL tools
Education: Graduation/Post Graduation
