Job Description

As a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer III at Google Cloud, you will design, develop, and implement robust BI solutions providing actionable insights to leadership. Responsibilities include architecting data marts, building efficient data pipelines, automating reporting processes, and transforming data into compelling visualizations. You'll partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, develop data infrastructure (SQL scripts, datasets, models, dashboards), and create data models and marts to provide clear performance insights. The role requires leading projects from concept to delivery, ensuring high-quality data solutions to drive business growth. Strong communication skills are crucial for collaboration with US and Canada-based partners.

Must have:

8+ years data modeling/visualization experience
SQL query writing proficiency
BI tool expertise (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
Data structure/pipeline design
Fluent English communication

Good to have:

PhD in STEM
Data Science experience (Sales/Marketing/Support)
NLP, LLMs, Generative AI, R experience
Data interpretation & presentation skills
Data Science publications/presentations

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in data modeling, developing data sets, or creating data visualizations.
Experience writing SQL queries.
Experience using BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI to create visualizations and dashboards.
Experience designing and building data structures, data pipelines, data marts, or data warehouses.
Ability to communicate in English fluently as this is a role requires communicating with US and Canada based partners.

Preferred qualifications:

PhD in a STEM field.
Experience in a Data Science role supporting Sales, Marketing, or Customer Support.
Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and R.
Experience drawing conclusions from data, breaking down technical concepts into simple terms, connecting with, and presenting to, technical and non-technical stakeholders, and recommending actions.
Publications related to Data Science, posters or presentations in AI/ML conferences, or patents.

Responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders to define and gather requirements for building Key Performance Indicator (KPI) frameworks that effectively track business growth and business strategies.
Develop robust data infrastructure, which includes building SQL scripts, creating data sets, crafting problem-solving models, and designing user-friendly dashboards.
Transform raw data into actionable insights by developing data models, data marts, and automating reporting processes to provide leadership with a clear picture of key business and process performance.
Lead assigned projects from conceptualization to delivery and ensure data solutions offer high-quality data and insights to propel the growth of the business.
