Job Description

This role involves designing robust data models using SQL, dbt, and Redshift, driving best practices in development, deployment, and monitoring. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure data quality and impactful delivery, build reports, write tests for models, and manage Airflow DAGs. Must have:
- Design data models with SQL, DBT, Redshift
- Write functional and column level tests
- Build reports from data models
- Collaborate with product for requirements
- Contribute to code reviews
- Set up and monitor Airflow DAGs
- Use CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure data quality
- In-depth expertise in SQL and Python
- Exceptional quantitative and problem-solving skills
- Good command over Tableau, Metabase
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good to have:
- Leverage Kubernetes operators
- Drive best practices in Data models
- Basic Knowledge of Data Modeling
- Basic Knowledge of ETL Process
- Basic Knowledge of statistical and ML techniques

About the Role
In this role, you’ll design robust data models using SQL, dbt, and Redshift, while driving best practices across development, deployment, and monitoring. You'll also collaborate closely with product and engineering to ensure data quality and impactful delivery.
Responsibilities
- Create optimised data models with SQL, DBT and Redshift
- Write functional and column level test for Models
- Build reports from the data models
- Collaborate with product to clarify requirement and create design document
- Get design reviewed from Architect/Principal/Lead Engineer
- Contribute to code reviews
- Set up and monitor Airflow DAGs
- Set up and use CI/CD pipelines
- Leverage Kubernetes operators for deployment automation
- Ensure data quality
- Drive best practices in Data models development, deployment, and monitoring
Skills
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering
- In-depth expertise in SQL and Python programming.
- Exceptional quantitative and problem-solving skills
- Good command over analytical and visualization tools like Tableau, Metabase etc.
- Basic Knowledge of Data Modeling, ETL Process, statistical and ML techniques such as classification, linear regression modelling, clustering and decision trees, etc.
- Ability to work with cross-functional and dependent teams, think and own on delivering end to end.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering (computer science, information systems)
- At least 2-5 years of experience in working on data, especially on reporting, data analysis
