PwC’s Business Restructuring Services (BRS) team is currently the largest restructuring practice in the Middle East, with over 60 employees operating across various offices in the region. Our team helps organizations facing financial distress or insolvency with crisis recovery, administrative tasks, liquidation and insolvency proceedings. Whatever the solution, we help them manage road blocks until the job is done.What to consider before applying
This role requires the candidate to be an Egyptian National and be based out of our Cairo office.
Your flexibility to travel 20% of the time to UAE and KSA. This means we may require you to work away from your base office location on a regular basis and frequent overnight stays may be required. Where possible, we will take your preferences into account and strike a balance between meeting your career development/personal needs and those of the business and our clients.
The Role
As a Business Restructuring Senior Manager or Director leading our Egypt market, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping solve complex business issues from strategy to execution and operations. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
Lead on proposals and business development initiatives within the Egypt market
Leverage our practice to help our clients with restructuring activities to find the best source of capital and support their business objectives
Developing value propositions for the clients by anticipating their future needs and the competitor landscape
Managing client relationships on a day-to-day basis including other stakeholders
Managing complex projects while functioning as a trusted advisor
Theorizing and implementing best practices on net returns for clients and other stakeholders from financially distressed companies and individuals
Day to day case management of administrations, asset recoveries, liquidations and other corporate insolvency processes
Maximizing net returns for clients and other stakeholders from financially distressed companies and individuals
Involvement in in-court restructuring schemes and other related tools
Identify risk issues and ensure these are dealt with
Conducting investigations of financial information and identifying transactions that could lead to civil actions or penalties
Project budgeting and management
Coaching and resource management on a portfolio of clients
Deliver significant business results that reflect both strategic and creative thinking
The Requirements
Extensive experience with restructuring activities (reviewing financial statement analysis, financial modeling, financial due diligence, corporate insolvency cases and restructuring out-of-court and in-court procedures) ideally from a professional services background
Significant experience with M&A or Deals Advisory (supported a business undergoing mergers, integrations, spin-offs and/or divestiture transactions)
Evidence of leading on successful business development opportunities including client lead maturation, proposal development, and closing new business opportunities within the Egyptian market
Technical and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex issues to support client solutions
Passionate about delivery of work and has a strong desire to succeed
An investigative mindset with attention to detail with an ability to see the big picture
Eager to build long lasting relationships with external stakeholders in order to identify value add opportunities for existing and potential clients
Successful at managing multiple stakeholders
Confident to develop and lead teams
Ability to leverage technology enabled and digital tools to achieve efficient delivery for our clients
Excellent communicator and can deliver messages with impact to a wide variety of audiences
