Job Description

As a Business Systems Analyst at Google's Finance Engineering team, you'll play a crucial role in improving financial processes by designing and implementing efficient systems. You will collaborate with internal business teams, developing delivery roadmaps, defining business requirements, and managing project work. Responsibilities include system implementation (requirements documentation, configuration, testing), system enhancements, upgrades, and promoting project management best practices. You'll work with a range of projects and business processes, utilizing your expertise in SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO), SAP Business Warehouse, and other financial systems. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
8+ years experience designing & implementing finance systems
SAP FICO or SAP BW experience
Project management & system implementation skills
Excellent communication & collaboration skills

Good to have:

10+ years ERP SAP systems deployment experience
Experience in business architecture, systems design, integration, data architecture
Knowledge of financial accounting, management accounting, order-to-cash processes
Understanding of SAP financial processes, including period close

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, a similar discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience designing and implementing Finance systems.
Experience working in SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO), or SAP Business Warehouse and other Financial Systems.

Preferred qualifications:

10 years of experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP systems deployment.
Experience in business architecture, systems design, systems integration, data architecture, and solutions delivery.
Knowledge of business processes relating to Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or Order to Cash.
Understanding of SAP Financial processes, including period close.
Ability to manage ambiguity and a rapidly changing landscape.
Excellent customer empathy, attention to detail, and communication skills.

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will help drive projects to improve finance processes that the company manages through the business applications it builds and uses. You will work on a range of different types of projects and business processes, and have a background that demonstrates this ability.

Responsibilities

Partner with internal business teams in developing delivery roadmaps, defining business processes and associated system requirements.
Organize and manage project work to drive predictable delivery.
Participate in system implementation projects (e.g., requirements documentation, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution).
Plan, prioritize, and deliver systems enhancements. Support and upgrade implemented systems. Promote project management best practices, coordinate cross-team and cross-site dependencies.
Build and maintain relationships to facilitate effective collaboration, information gathering, influencing, and strategic decision making.
