Synechron is seeking an intermediate C# developer for a pricing infrastructure migration project for Global Equity Derivative. Responsibilities include distributed pricing infrastructure, pricing and risk management systems, workflow automation, process migration, and production support tooling. The role involves implementing solutions, coordinating production process migration, assisting with user adoption, revamping existing technology, providing status reports, participating in design and development of tools, identifying and remediating system deficiencies, supporting and debugging systems, reviewing business requirements, learning development tools, delivering user training, optimizing performance, and improving CI/CD pipeline.
Must have:
  • Implement solutions and coordinate production process migration.
  • Assist with user adoption of technology solutions.
  • Revamp existing technology to improve scalability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Proactively provide status reports to global, local manager and BT business manager.
  • Participate in design and development of tools and applications.
  • Proactively identify system deficiencies and develop technical solutions.
  • Support, debug, troubleshooting system/software deficiencies.
  • Review and understand business requirements.
  • Learn all necessary development tools.
  • Deliver user training, publish release notes, and perform release tasks.
  • Profile and optimize system performance.
  • Improve production support documentation and tooling.
  • Improve CI/CD pipeline of existing business technology.
  • Assist with technology updates.
  • 5+ years of professional experience using C#.
  • 3+ years of professional experience using C++.
  • Proficient in multi-threaded programming.
  • Proficient in service-orientated architecture.
  • Proficient in compute/task distribution.
  • Experience with SQL Server or equivalent relational database management systems.
  • Experience with JSON and XML.
  • Experience using or developing web service.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with DevOps pipeline.
  • Experience supporting production environment.

Our challenge

We are looking for an intermediate C# developer to work on pricing infrastructure migration project for Global Equity Derivative. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, distributed pricing infrastructure, pricing and risk management systems, workflow automation, process migration, and production support tooling.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $130k – CAD $140k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Implement solutions and coordinate production process migration with support team.
  • Assist with user adoption of technology solutions developed globally by assisting with user training and liaising with relevant development personnel to improve overall user experience.
  • Revamp of existing technology to improve scalability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Proactively provide status reports to global, local manager and BT business manager.
  • Participate in design and development of tools and applications required to support pricing infrastructure and related business areas.
  • Proactively identify system deficiencies, engage relevant technical and business partners, determine corrective actions, and develop technical solutions to remediate issues.
  • Support, debug, troubleshooting system/software deficiencies.
  • Review and understand business requirements, contribute to the detailed technology deliverables including functional specifications, system impact assessments, and technological dependencies.
  • Learn all necessary development tools required to be an effective developer.
  • Deliver user training, publish release notes, and perform release tasks.
  • Profile and optimize system performance.
  • Improve production support documentation and tooling.
  • Improve CI/CD pipeline of existing business technology.
  • Assist with technology updates.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience using C#.
  • 3+ years of professional experience using C++.
  • Proficient in multi-threaded programming.
  • Proficient in service-orientated architecture.
  • Proficient in compute/task distribution.
  • Experience with SQL Server or equivalent relational database management systems.
  • Experience with JSON and XML.
  • Experience using or developing web service.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with DevOps pipeline.
  • Experience supporting production environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal and team working skills.
