Responsibilities include preparing documentation like Instrument Index, Line lists, specifications, datasheets, loop diagrams, logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, hook-up drawings, cable schedules, and panel/JB drawings. The role also requires sizing and selecting explosion-proof and intrinsically safe instruments for hazardous areas, participating in design review meetings, HAZOPs, and SIL studies. Ensuring compliance with API, NFPA, and ISA standards, creating P&IDs, Cause & Effect diagrams, and control narratives for DCS, SCADA, BMS, and ESD PLC systems is crucial. The engineer will also create specifications and datasheets for various field instruments. Project management aspects include scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and coordinating with global locations, vendors, and contractors. Commissioning and testing of PLC systems and panels, assisting commissioning teams, and conducting PGTR are also part of the role. The engineer will provide technical guidance, mentoring, and expertise for troubleshooting.
