Introduction

This position is for a CAD Engineer who will act as a point-of-contact for all EDA/CAD related topics. The successful candidate needs to be self-driven with a strong solution-oriented approach.

Your Job

  • Responsible for EDA software installation/ PDK/IP installation/environment set-up.
  • Automate report generation to assist program management, compute and storage resource management.
  • Develop/automate data analytic tools for planning and optimizing tools usage, manage bugs, etc.
  • Own initiatives towards timely resolution of issues/bugs related to EDA/CAD.
  • Work closely with the design/QA teams to implement CAD flows, procedures, automation, and utilities to improve design/test/QA efficiency.
  • Use Perl, Cadence SKILL, TCL, Shell and Python to automate design support activities.
  • Work with cross-geo, cross-functional teams to understand requirements and communicate resolution in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of industry standard EDA tools and flows.
  • Proficiency with data analytics, data organization and be able to understand usage and statistics for EDA tools
  • Requires a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or equivalent degree in a related field from an accredited university.

○ B.E./B.Tech + minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience

  • 7-10 years of experience setting up and maintaining CAD/EDA infrastructure.
  • Language Fluency – Fluent in English Language – written & verbal.
  • Must have proficient knowledge of and experience with Unix environment.
  • Must have hands-on experience with SKILL language.
  • Hands on experience with scripting in Python/Perl/Tcl/Shell for design automation support.
  • Should be fluent with Cadence/Synopsys EDA tools for schematic and physical layout.
  • Hands on knowledge of CalibreDRV or any other tool to verify PV checks on GDS
  • Should be able to set up different Extraction flows for tools such as QRC, xRC
  • Must have good technical verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams is necessary.
  • Be able to collaborate with program and technical design leads on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Should have excellent problem-solving skills, written & oral communication, teaming & interpersonal skills.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
  • Familiarity with standard engineering practices like Version Control systems, Configuration Management and Regression process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PowerBI, Excel, Powerpoint and other office productivity tools.
  • Cliosoft/Dassault for design flow management.
