Summary
As a CAD Technician, you're the digital architect behind our engineering projects. Your proficiency in CAD tools brings blueprints to life and ensures precise, detailed plans. Join our team and play a pivotal role in transforming concepts into tangible structures that shape our future.
The position is located in India and remote.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Utilize AutoCAD to create construction documents and perform quantity takeoffs. Construction documents will include site layouts, wire/cable routing plans, single line diagrams, construction details, equipment, and conduit details etc.
- Coordinate with various design team disciplines including electrical engineers, civil engineers, structural engineers, and surveyors
- Attain a basic level of understanding of the latest NEC and applicable design standards for Solar PV & BESS projects in the USA
- Create wiring/cable schedule-based takeoffs and sizing input from senior designers and engineers
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of EVS design and CAD standards, as well as providing input for improvement
- Provide basic CAD technical support as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in 2d drafting/design using AutoCAD
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Able to work in a highly collaborative environment and be a strong team player
- Self-motivated with an ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadline
- High proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Experience and knowledge of basic electrical design concepts preferred
- Working knowledge and ability to read construction drawings and specifications preferred
- AutoCAD certification preferred
