Backend Developer (Spring Boot)

We're seeking an experienced Spring Boot developer to join our team and take our backend systems to the
next level. As part of this role, you'll optimize, refactor, and extend our current systems, as well as
implement new feature modules and integration components in collaboration with our frontend teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Refactor and improve existing backend systems
  • Develop new features and integration components
  • Identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance
  • Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure seamless integrations

Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in Java
  • Expertise in Spring Boot (MVC and reactive programming)
  • Understanding of database concepts, including indexing, access patterns, and query optimization (MySQL)
  • Experience with Docker containers
  • Familiarity with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Apache Pulsar, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Testcontainers for testing

Nice to Have:

  • Advanced knowledge of Redis data structures and Lua scripting
  • Expertise in Apache Pulsar and Kubernetes
  • Performance tuning skills

Work Arrangements:

  • Full-time or part-time (student) options available
  • On-site presence required during onboarding process, with possible remote work arrangements after
    onboarding
  • Preferably located near Frankfurt, but not a strict requirement
Cloud & Systems Engineer (Senior/Junior)

We're looking for skilled Cloud System Engineers to join our team in maintaining and enhancing our Kubernetes cluster running on AWS. As part of this role, you'll be responsible for proactively monitoring and maintaining the cluster, as well as streamlining workflows for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). Your duties will also include setting up performance and failure notifications, documenting system architecture, and proposing and implementing component changes and optimizations in collaboration with our backend team.

Fulltime, part-time (student)

Upon initial onboarding, we require an on-site presence, but once settled, you can work remotely to some extent. Ideally, our ideal candidate would be based near Frankfurt, Germany, although this is not a strict requirement.

mandatory:

  - Kubernetes (EKS) experience. Deployments, services,helm chart mgmt,…

  - AWS Services (RDS,EKS,Network Services,Security,Cost optimisation)

  - Spring Boot (beginner/intermediate level) would be a plus

  - DB / SQL (understanding indexing, access patterns, opt. queries) (mysql)

  - CI/CD

  - Docker (image building, base image handling for our containers)

  - Network basics

  - redis (data structures, lua scripting)
