As a CFX Senior Artist you will be responsible for developing hair and cloth dynamic rigs for characters and executing CFX work in shots, including character simulations, geometry correctives and groom correctives.
Responsibilities
- Creates hair simulation rigs.
- Creates cloth simulation rigs.
- Creates high-quality cloth, hair and skin simulations & correctives for shot work in production.
- Keeps up on current artistic methodologies and on technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company, in the development of a stronger creative and technical environment.
- Is involved in the development of departmental tools and techniques.
- Works within the established pipeline.
- Works together with the team providing them with support, guidance and instruction in areas that contribute towards their artistic and professional growth.
- Follows the Supervisor’s and Lead's guidance.
Requirements
- 5+ years in VFX or animation industries.
- 3+ years in the animation industry.
- Strong artistic or/and technical aptitude related to 3D animation is a must.
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge of houdini/vellum. At least one production in a Houdini pipeline is desirable.
- Marvelous Designer knowledge is a plus.
- High English level desirable.
- Spanish desirable.
