Job Description

Polyslash is seeking a talented Character Artist to work on new, unannounced projects. The ideal candidate will be a creative individual who appreciates video games as an art form. The Character Artist will be responsible for creating both organic and hard surface character models, demonstrating excellent modeling and texturing skills using software like Blender, Maya, Substance Painter, and Zbrush. The role also involves rigging and skinning models for animation, possessing artistic skills and a good sense of proportion and color, understanding the importance of teamwork, and being involved in the project. Experience in developing games with Unity is required, as well as self-reliance, creativity, and the ability to meet deadlines. A willingness to resolve conflicts peacefully is also expected.
Good To Have:
  • 2D graphic skills.
  • Understanding the importance of storytelling in visual arts.
Must Have:
  • Portfolio demonstrating character modeling skills.
  • Excellent modeling and texturing skills (Blender, Maya, Substance Painter, Zbrush).
  • Rigging and skinning skills for animation.
  • Artistic skills, good sense of proportion and color.
  • Understanding of teamwork.
  • Experience with Unity.
  • Self-reliance and ability to meet deadlines.

  • – Artistic skills, good sense of proportion and color, 
  • – Understanding the importance of teamwork, ability to get involved in the project,
  • – Experience in developing games with the Unity,
  • – Self-reliance and creativity, ability to meet deadlines,
  • – Willingness to solve conflicts without reaching for melee weapons.

Nice to have:

  • – 2D graphic skills,
  • – Understanding the importance that a well-told stories have in the visual arts.
