United the banner of Battlefield Studios, 4 world-class teams across Criterion, DICE, Motive and Ripple Effect – all powered by the Battlefield Central Technology (BCT) team – have come together to focus on the future of the franchise, a connected Battlefield universe filled with immersive experiences built on our unique DNA.

At Ripple Effect, we are a studio where you can do the best work of your career. Above all, we're driven by quality - in the games we create, and in the studio we've built.

With studios located in Los Angeles and Vancouver, Ripple Effect has been dedicated to the Battlefield franchise since our founding as DICE LA in 2013.

We're all-in on the future and our most ambitious Battlefield yet. Want to be part of something special? Read on.

We are looking for a Character Artist - ExDev to oversee the quality and artistic consistency of externally developed character assets. You will guide and assist external developers to ensure they deliver assets that match our fidelity and performance standards. You will report to our Line Director, Art. We are considering on-site and hybrid working options within the Vancouver area to apply.

What You'll Do:

  • Review and provide feedback on externally created Character cosmetics.

  • Create briefs and organize packages for external production

  • Finalize assets by making visual and technical adjustments

  • Participate in relevant art review meetings

  • Create content for seasonal releases on a cyclical basis

  • Help coordinate vendor communication to internal team

  • Support external art training and documentation

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proficiency in Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter. Experience with Marvelous Designer.

  • Experience with character anatomy, proportions, and dynamic posing.

  • A history of supporting others, prioritizing nurturing talent in others instead of solving the issue for them.

  • Experience managing a backlog, working with estimates and delegating tasks to others.
