Civil 3D Designer

We are in search of multi-skilled Civil 3D Designers. You will utilize your experience with AutoCAD and specifically AutoCAD Civil 3D to create and maintain drawings for clients that are prepared with accuracy, neatness and according to company and client design standards. You will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers and design professionals to deliver quality products and service.

Responsibilities:

• Create and update alignment sheets using Civil 3D and client provided data including route of pipe (shapefiles), surface shots (points), properties (ownership/tract name and numbers), major roads or water crossings, any crossing pipe depths and sizes, imagery if available, and redlines on existing alignments from As-Built
• Print and issue drawings and ensure all appropriate data has been incorporated per project requirements.
• Create and maintain profile drawings per similarly provided client data
• Provide self-checks to ensure all drawings have been completed per client’s specifications
• Collaborate with project team on daily basis during design, coordinating with QC and other team members for continuity of deliverables.

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience preparing alignment sheets using preferred programs (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
• Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Projects, Outlook PowerPoint) in a business environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
• Critical thinking skills to function as a resource to help solve issues.

Preferred but not required:

• Experience with piping (pipe fab, facility experience, detailed design in 3D environment)
• Experience using AutoCAD design software (specifically AutoCAD Civil 3D), Diagrams by ECE software
• Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (midstream natural gas facilities & downstream processing facilities) and Natural Gas customers
• Knowledge of industry standards ASME, ASTM, API, and ISO is not required, but desirable.
