Job Description

As a Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide exceptional technical guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. You will provide best practices on secure foundational cloud implementations, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, cloud-ready application architectures, and more. Responsibilities include providing domain expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure, working with customers to design and implement cloud-based technical architectures, acting as a technical advisor and troubleshooting issues, creating best practice recommendations and tutorials, and traveling up to 30% for meetings and onsite delivery. The role requires experience with client-side web technologies, coding, designing and implementing technical solutions, and designing and automating infrastructure components for scalability and performance. Experience with GCP products, containerization, and IT security practices is preferred.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent
4+ years experience with client-side web technologies
4+ years experience designing and implementing solutions
Experience designing and automating infrastructure
Provide domain expertise in cloud platforms

Good to have:

GCP Certifications
Experience managing client-facing projects
Experience with GCP products
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration
Familiarity with standard IT security practices

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP) and coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
4 years of experience in designing and implementing technical solutions.
Experience in designing and automating infrastructure components (e.g., compute, networking, storage and cloud native technologies) for scalability, high availability and performance.

Preferred qualifications:

Certifications in Google Cloud Platform.
Experience managing customer/client-facing consulting projects to completion and handling technical delivery.
Experience with implementing solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products.
Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as identity and access management, data protection, encryption, certificate and key management.

Responsibilities

Provide domain expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure solving complex cloud platform issues.
Work with customers to design and implement cloud based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable business objectives.
Be a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical issues for customers.
Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code.
Travel up to 30% of the time in the region for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities as needed.
