Nasdaq is now looking for Application Engineer (Cloud) to join the Application Management team where you will work with a variety of trading, clearing and market information systems used by our clients worldwide.  The team is responsible for implementing technical solutions and supporting the business with operational related investigations, application upgrades, optimizing performance as well as business continuity planning and testing. Your ability to perform multiple tasks combined with a great work ethic and a critical 24x7 environment will ensure your success.

What will you be doing?

Your responsibilities may change over time but you can expect responsibilities like:

  • Designing, planning, and implementing changes to our existing systems and implementing new solutions
  • Taking part in performing recovery procedures, scheduling, backups, and working proactively to catch incidents
  • Incident solving, handling of incoming issues, requirements and launching of new releases
  • Planning and executing non-functional and performance testing
  • Acting as a specialist in operational issues, questions and requirements
  • Managing projects and independently carrying out parts of large implementations

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience in different Cloud technologies is essential
  • Expertise in Containerization (Docker) and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes) is essential
  • Experience is Kafka is á big merit
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix, Scripting (Perl, Python etc.), and Databases (SQL)
  • Experience from working with System administration, Network, Application operations or other related area is a benefit
  • Experience in GIT
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field is a merit
  • Proven few years of working experience in Cloud technologies
  • As a person, you have strong personal drive and initiative. Furthermore, you enjoy working in a fast-paced and client-focused environment


It would be excellent if you have:

  • Knowledge of IBM MQ and Other JMS services is a plus
  • Familiarity with Oracle and PostgreSQL is a plus
  • Experience with Windows 2016+ is a plus

What happens now?

This is a full-time permanent position located in Vilnius. Nasdaq offers a hybrid workplace to find a balance between working from home and collaborating in the office, therefore it's required to come into the office at least 2 days per week.

Monthly base salary 2400-2800 EUR gross. The final offer will be based on your experience and skills.
