The College Sports Systems Technician at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the replay system for football matches and other sports as needed. This role requires conducting pre-match system checks, collaborating with operators, officials, and broadcast staff, monitoring system performance during games, and maintaining hardware and equipment throughout the season. The technician will also assist with installing and testing new products. The position demands strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, live broadcast environment. Weekend and holiday work is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up the replay system for all Football matches.
Conduct pre-match checks of systems to ensure smooth operation.
Collaborate with system operators, officials, school production staff, and broadcasters both on-site and remotely.
Monitor and maintain technology during games to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain hardware and equipment throughout the season, with possible off-season work for maintenance.
Assist with installation and testing of new products and services.

Skills:

Background in broadcast/engineering with an understanding of signal flow preferred.
