You'll write samples for PxP and Color Commentary, work with Audio Artists, and develop narratives. In recent years, college football has become one of the most highly-requested games from their players. Now, they’re excited to be bringing back the glory of college football for millions of college sports fans with EA SPORTS College Football. And with this highly-anticipated title under development, EA SPORTS is looking for a diverse range of talent, who are passionate about what they do, to help bring the game to life.

EA Sports College Football is currently looking for a Commentary Designer to join our team and assist in the creation of a deep and engaging commentary experience for our players.

Commentary Designer Overview

A Commentary Designer at EA is charged with developing the flows and conversations that our commentary teams will bring into the overall narrative in both individual games and throughout a season. From discussions around player performance in the first half compared to the second, to bringing up the emotions of a coach who may be returning to their alma mater, making these moments stand out and add depth to the playing experience is paramount.

In this role, your responsibilities will include;

The writing of samples for PxP and Color Commentary addressing common football plays
Working with Audio Artists on speech flows and stitching patterns
Creating narratives across individual games, complete seasons, and from one season to another
Working with Designers and Producers across the College Football team to address their designs through the commentary space
Constant evaluation and checks against quality in the commentary space
Talent Direction when necessary to ensure proper recording of content

Ideal Qualifications

2+ years of sports writing - ideally in Sports Reporting, Op-Ed pieces or human interest stories
Evidence of self-started programs or reports from previous occupations
Experience in Sports Production and environments
Familiarity with Football nomenclature and schematics
Familiarity with Sports Video games
