We’re looking to hire a Communications Manager for a Fortune 500 Energy client.
In this role, you will join the Marketing Team to develop and execute strategic engagement plans, ensure effective communication and stakeholder management.
- This is a 12 month + opportunity.
- Location: St. Petersburg, FL (Pinellas/Pasco Counties), hybrid onsite.
- 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Create Customer Communication plans for Energy/Utility and Construction Projects including letters, emails, and flyers to inform Property Owners about utility work in their neighborhoods.
- Attend Community meetings.
- Work closely with internal teams (Engineering, Legal, and Government Relations) to keep messaging consistent.
- Plan and host Public Information Meetings regarding community events.
- Collaborate with Local Government & Community Relations Managers to develop and implement appropriate Public Engagement strategies.
- Manage the printing and mailing process.
- Manage budgets effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree + (5) years of related work Communications experience.
- Experience in Community Relations, Public Affairs, and Customer-Facing roles in Utilities or Construction.
- Strong communicators who are comfortable with in-person interactions, problem solving, and navigating complaints.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Available for travel and after-hours events. Prepare to travel frequently to construction sites for on-site interactions. Available for on-call responsibilities.
