REGENT is hiring a Composite Structures Engineering Intern to design and analyze primary and secondary vehicle structural parts for the first full-scale seaglider prototype. You will perform complex modeling, finite element analysis, and apply design for manufacturing concepts. Must have strong technical knowledge in core engineering principles and proficiency in CAD software (preferably NX).

Job Details
REGENT is building the seaglider; the first electric flying machine that will transport commercial passengers. With a vehicle that never flies higher than a few meters off the water, we unlock the ability to fly twice as far as an electric aircraft, and certification by maritime authorities which will let us fly first passengers by mid-decade.

As a Composite Structures Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to do mission-critical design and analysis for REGENT's Composites Structures team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Interns will be given the opportunity to own the development of primary and secondary vehicle structural parts and assemblies (metallic and composites) for the first full-scale seaglider prototype.
- Perform complex modelling and finite element analysis at the detailed component level and major assembly level.
- Apply design for manufacturing concepts to create solutions that are cost-effective and easy to manufacture at a rate.
- In this role, you will work as part of a cross-functional team, collaborating with groups such as Aerodynamics, Mechanical Systems, Energy Storage, and Propulsion to solve challenging engineering problems.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Strong technical knowledge in core engineering principles
- Proficiency in CAD software (preferably NX) and drafting engineering drawings
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and critical thinking
- Excellent communication skills
