Concept Artist (Fall Project)

Use your wide-ranging concept skills and wildly creative brain to assist in playful exploration and visual development on a cozy adventure game.

Core Skills & Abilities

• Have a commanding sense of color and shape
• Understand what makes designs iconic, and stand out from the crowd
• Passion for world building and understanding where and how design communicates purpose and culture
• Craft charming characters and creatures
• Help create visual targets and guidelines
• Proactively iterate and explore ideas while embracing feedback
• Have a wide visual library to pull from (and even some fun highly specialized ones)

Required Experience

• Portfolio demonstrating strong skill in visual design and development
• At least one shipped product (comic, book, game, etc)
• Experience (and comfort!) rapidly iterating on visual designs, throwing a lot away
• Experience working on a cross-disciplinary team (at least one project/reference)

Preferred Responsibilities & Experience

• Specialty or passion for at least one of the following sub-disciplines:
