The RF Hardware Design Engineer will be a key member of the Hardware Engineering team, designing future wireless products. This role involves working within a small design team focused on integrating various wireless technologies into new Apple products. The engineer will be responsible for their technology throughout the entire product cycle, from initial concept to product introduction, driving the development and characterization of system features such as digital pre-distortion and VSWR sensing. Key responsibilities include front-end architecture design, component specification, creating and analyzing RF line-up spreadsheets, characterization, design optimization, and failure analysis. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional engineering groups, including antenna design, product design, production test, regulatory, reliability, and software engineering. The role requires occasional international travel to support product development (approximately 15% of the time).

Job Details

Our RF Hardware Design Engineer is an integral member of the Hardware Engineering team designing future wireless products. They will work on a small design team focused on the integration of multiple wireless technologies in to a new Apple product. For a full product cycle, our experienced DRI (directly responsible individual) is expected to own their technology from concept through product introduction and also drive bring up, development and characterization of system features like digital pre-distortion, VSWR sensing etc. This includes front-end architecture, and component specification. Build and design RF line-up spreadsheets and modeling. Perform characterization, design optimization and failure analysis. They will work proactively with other cross-functional engineering groups such as antenna design, product design, production test, regulatory, reliability, and software engineering. The role will required international travel to support product development as needed (15%)
