Job Summary

Job Description

The job involves developing a Kubernetes Platform for the private cloud. Responsibilities include continuous self-improvement with team members, participation in planning meetings, code reviews, and pair programming. The role requires working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, following new technologies, and improving the existing platform. The team aims to create a positive impact through technology in the e-commerce ecosystem. Trendyol is a leading e-commerce company in EMEA and is rapidly growing worldwide, delivering over 1.5 million parcels daily. The company has a dynamic and agile startup spirit.

Must have:

Experience with Kubernetes and its components.
Deep understanding of Linux and its distributions.
Hands-on experience with at least one programming language.
Technical English proficiency is a must.

Good to have:

Designing knowledge of HA systems is a big plus.
Experience with private or public cloud technologies is a plus.
Experience with configuration management and software delivery platforms.
Working knowledge of Consul, Vault, Couchbase, or Chaos Engineering.

ABOUT THE TEAM

If you are a techie, you belong in our Technology Team that builds scalable, high-performance platforms for our customers using up-to-date and efficient technologies.

We are all working with the same purpose: To create a positive impact in our ecosystem by enabling commerce through technology.

Your Main Responsibilities

You will develop a Kubernetes Platform for private Cloud
You will continuously improve yourself with your team members by learning new technologies and acquiring new skills.
You will participate in planning meetings, estimate tasks, do code reviews, and code in pairs.
Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and methodologies, including automated builds
You will be following new technologies and improving the existing platform

Qualities We Are Looking For

Experience of Kubernetes and its components
Deep understanding of Linux and its distributions
Hands-on experience with at least one programming language. Golang is preferable
Be passionate about developing well-architected, innovative, and elegant platform software tools and services
Understanding of core distributed systems concepts, such as fault-tolerance, consistency, and distributed rate-limiting
Basic level of understanding networking principles
Experience with Observability and Monitoring tools
Designing knowledge of HA systems is a big plus
Experience working with private or public cloud technologies (Openstack,AliCloud,AWS,vCloud,Azure) is a big plus
Experience with managing large numbers of diverse systems with configuration management and software delivery platforms (such as Terraform, Spinnaker, Puppet, Chef or Ansible) is a big plus.
Working knowledge of one or more of the following technologies (Consul, Vault, Couchbase, Chaos Engineering)
Technical English proficiency is a must
Being curious about how systems work and, more importantly, how they fail
Eagerness for self-improvement, open-minded, future-oriented

We offer a hybrid model that combines the productivity of remote work with the bonding and collaboration of in-office work. Teams are expected to work from our offices on designated days each week, fostering team spirit, creativity and cross team collaboration as part of our culture.

We also provide a summer working model, with a two-month fully remote work opportunity during July and August.
