Job Description:

In order to help drive further growth within the business, King is looking to hire an exceptional Content and Social Media Manager. This is a new position that has been created in order to support the existing Brand Communications team within King.

Your role within our Kingdom

We are looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to lead our online presence, engage our audience, and drive brand awareness across our key social media platforms. The Content and Social Media Manager role is designed to support the team’s efforts to drive conversation, engagement and cultural relevance for the Candy Crush brand. 

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy, tailored to each of our key social media platforms for Candy Crush Saga

  • Track and analyse social media performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement

  • Track latest social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies and provide insights back to the business

  • Work with the wider marketing team  to align social media efforts with broader campaigns

  • Work alongside the Brand Communications team to drive strategy and execution of owned and earned-first initiatives and campaigns

  • Liaise with key internal stakeholders and agencies to build a robust calendar of always-on brand activity for Candy Crush

  • Support Brand Communications team with reviewing always on and campaign content for the Candy Crush social media channels and creator content

  • Coordinate with and day-to-day management of Social, PR & influencer marketing agencies

  • Work with key stakeholders internally to ensure integration across Brand Communications team plans and wider Consumer Marketing team

Skills to create thrills

You have great passion for social media and content creation, and how it can be used effectively and positively within a company. You should also have:

  • Experience managing agencies or working in an agency environment, ideally within consumer tech, media, entertainment with a focus on product, brand engagement, and popular culture.

  • Proven experience driving an always-on social media strategy, ensuring continuous audience engagement, community growth, and brand storytelling across key social platforms.

  • Strong expertise in creating engaging social content (including static, video, and influencer-driven content) that resonates with communities while ensuring alignment with brand positioning and narrative.

  • Deep knowledge of social/digital media channels and how to tailor content and engagement strategies for different platforms.

  • Ability to identify and leverage social trends and consumer insights to drive innovative content strategies.

  • Proven experience in coordinating and executing creative, content-driven social campaigns across multiple platforms, integrating influencer, PR, and paid strategies where relevant.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience tracking and interpreting social media performance metrics to drive strategy and optimization.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, coordinate stakeholders across teams, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
