Anime Content Specialist

Sportskeeda is looking for an anime content writer with a management background who can help cover various aspects of multiple anime. The applicant should be well acquainted with both anime and manga, up to speed with recent chapters and episodes, and should be an active member of the community. Applicants willing to work from 8/9 PM to 4/5 AM IST (10/11 AM to 6/7 PM EDT/2.30/3.30 PM to 10.30/11.30 PM GMT) will be given preference.

The applicant will be expected to constantly generate article ideas and deliver highlight coverages for recently released chapters and episodes quickly and efficiently.  The candidate should be well versed with popular theories in the series, the voice actors, the creators, and the most relevant debates in the fandom. In future, the applicant will be expected to take up the role of a team-lead/content specialist.

The candidate should have a comprehensive idea about the story arcs, the art style of each creator, the interest of the fans, and the controversies and reputations of respective studios. Having a passing knowledge of other popular anime or manga, especially Black Clover, and an established presence in the anime community via My Anime List, Anilist or Discord would be a bonus.

• Write 2-4 articles daily.
  

•  Articles should not have an ounce of plagiarism, falsified facts, idea theft, clout-farming, click-baiting, and should not be derogatory in any form.
  

•  Can keep track of trending topics around the anime and manga and can break them on time.
  

• Suggest relevant topics and ideas.
  

• Able to work under deadlines and deliver work quickly and efficiently.
  

•  Expected to develop a knowledge base for trends, news, fresh content from creators etc. Should be able to write on the current chapter/episode’s characters, actions, future speculations, and storyline without having to search on google.
  

•  Authors who read the manga as well as watch the anime would be preferred.
  

• Should be open for a future team-lead role if/when needed (with adequate compensation to be discussed at the time)
  

Requirements

• Applicants must be highly motivated and possess the following requirements:
  
• Relevant experience in writing, editing, and managing a team.
  
• Decent understanding of the series and their theories so far
  
• A good grasp of the English language and the ability to communicate niche ideas to a wide-spread audience
  
• Knowledge of Wordpress
  
• Applicants with prior management experience will be considered for an upcoming specialist role.
