Job role:
We aim to grow Criczop into a leading cricket news website, bringing breaking news, in-depth analysis, and engaging features to cricket fans worldwide. We're looking for a talented writer to join our team and help us grow to be the go-to source for all things cricket.
Responsibilities:
- Craft engaging articles related to the latest cricket tournaments, including match previews, highlights, and match analyses
- Contribute to the content for Criczop's social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) to enhance engagement and reach
- Assist in predicting and creating fantasy teams for upcoming matches
- Gather and curate trending cricket videos and tweets from relevant platforms to showcase on Criczop
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure the content aligns with Criczop's brand voice and strategy
- Work with team members to align content with Criczop’s goals
Skills:
- Applicant must be a passionate cricket fan familiar with all match formats, rules and fantasy sports
- Strong grammar and writing skills
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and content strategy
- Strong research, fact-checking skills and the ability to translate complex topics into accessible content
- Familiarity with Google Docs, Google Sheets and AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini
- Prior experience in media, news, or entertainment is desirable
Will be a plus:
- Strong understanding of Ad-tech ecosystem
- Prior work experience in any of the following industries: gaming / astrology / news / pop-culture / cricket news or sports media
