Must have:
  • Control-M experience

Good to have:
  • Experience with other workload automation tools
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
  • Advanced scripting capabilities
  • Experience with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL)
  • Understanding of automation frameworks
  • Awareness of data security practices

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a highly skilled Control-M NI professional to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless integration and execution of Control-M tasks, supporting the organization's business objectives by optimizing workload automation processes. The position contributes significantly to enhancing operational efficiency and client satisfaction through effective task delivery and communication.

Software Requirements

  • Required:
    • Control-M (Extensive experience required)
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with other workload automation tools
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure

Overall Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end Control-M tasks as per client and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and implement automation needs.
  • Enhance process efficiency and reliability through strategic task execution.
  • Meet performance outcomes by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tasks.

Technical Skills (By Category)

  • Programming Languages:
    • Required: Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Shell, Python)
    • Preferred: Advanced scripting capabilities
  • Databases/Data Management:
    • Required: Basic SQL knowledge
    • Preferred: Experience with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL)
  • Cloud Technologies:
    • Preferred: Familiarity with AWS or Azure services
  • Frameworks and Libraries:
    • Preferred: Understanding of automation frameworks
  • Development Tools and Methodologies:
    • Required: Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Security Protocols:
    • Preferred: Awareness of data security practices

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Control-M or similar roles.
  • Experience in client interaction and requirement gathering.
  • Preferred: Experience in the IT consulting industry.
  • Alternative pathways: Candidates with equivalent automation tool experience or IT project management backgrounds.

Day-to-Day Activities

  • Execute and monitor Control-M tasks, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients and internal teams to discuss requirements and progress.
  • Prepare and deliver project deliverables, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Exercise decision-making authority in task prioritization and execution strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Preferred: Certification in Control-M or related workload automation tools.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and training.
