Job Description

As a Controllership Analyst, you will prepare statutory financial statements, execute financial controls, review trial balances, analyze large datasets, support regulator reporting, and assist with internal and regulatory audits. You will be responsible for financial controls (SOX, Entity level controls related to accounting process) and should have experience with SAP. You will be working with a team that breaks the status quo, embracing technological innovation to streamline processes. The role involves creating trustworthy information for existing and upcoming products, directly impacting customer experience and working with the Financial Superintendency of Colombia.
Must have:
  • Bachelor of Accounting Degree with IFRS knowledge.
  • 4-5 years of accounting experience in financial controls.
  • Proficiency in English language.
Good to have:
  • Experience reporting to the Financial Superintendency.
  • Experience in SAP implementation.
  • Experience with IFRS standards.

As a Controllership  Analyst, you'll be expected to:

  • Prepare statutory financial statements and execute financial controls relating to general ledger including (structure of the financials, policies and disclosures)
  • Review in monthly basis the trial balance preparing monthly general reconciliation controls
  • Experience analyzing with large amount of information with data tools such as (SQL,Scala, python or any other)
  • Support preparation for regulator reporting analysis and preparation (XBRL and SFC Reports)
  • Preparation of supporting documentation for internal and regulatory audits
  • Support execution of financial controls (SOX, Entity level controls related to accounting process)
  • Experience in SAP (booking, extracting reports, creating views) and desirable if has participated in implementation

We are looking for a Controllership  Analyst who has:

  • Bachelor of Accounting Degree, with knowledge of IFRS and Financial Institutions experience
  • 4-5 years of experience working with accounting area and proven experience in conciliations, depreciation, constructing financial controls, accounting closing among others
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Reporting review or preparation for the Financial Superintendency
  • Experience and/or willingness to deeply understand the process of reporting to Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia
  • Experience in SAP implementation
  • Successfully had worked with IFRS

The position is based in Bogotá, Colombia
