Onward Search seeks a Copywriter II for a 7+ month contract position in Cupertino, CA (hybrid - 3 days onsite). This role involves crafting engaging content for a cutting-edge sales app, requiring expertise in the client's products, tools, and audience. Responsibilities include synthesizing content from various sources, participating in rapid prototyping and testing, tailoring content for salespeople, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of copywriting experience, exceptional writing and editing skills, preferably with retail electronic sales experience. A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or English is required.

This 7+ month contract opportunity offers the chance to craft engaging content for a cutting-edge sales app that empowers salespeople worldwide.

As a Copywriter II, you’ll be responsible for developing captivating content that enhances the user experience for sales professionals. You’ll become an expert on our client’s products, tools, and audiences, ensuring that your content is not only clear and engaging but also aligns with the brand’s tone and standards. If you're a creative individual with a passion for writing and a background in retail sales, this is the perfect opportunity for you to contribute your skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Synthesize content from various sources to create compelling materials.
  • Participate in rapid prototyping and testing to refine content.
  • Craft exceptional content for the client’s in-house sales app, tailored to the needs of salespeople.
  • Become an expert on our client’s products, audiences, and tools, and apply this knowledge to your content creation.
  • Uphold the client’s standards by producing content that reflects their brand’s conversational, intelligent, and elegant style.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including instructional design, editorial, UX/UI design, business leaders, and regional stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in copywriting, with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a focus on clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Experience in retail electronic sales (preferred).
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with the client’s products and software is a plus.
  • Results-oriented, resilient, and thrives on feedback.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or English is required.
  • A Master’s degree in Writing or a related discipline is a plus.

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week, and the length of the assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
