Niantic seeks a Creative Production Manager for their Tokyo studio to build and manage the creative pipeline for Monster Hunter Now. Responsibilities include collaborating with artists and agencies to create assets for campaigns (videos, banners, AR), leading the production process from ideation to delivery, analyzing campaign performance, building relationships with creative partners, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring brand alignment. The role requires experience in creative production, project management (JIRA), working with third-party IP, and strong communication skills. Native Japanese and business-level English are preferred. The position requires in-office presence 3 days a week on average.

Niantic is a leading Augmented Reality and mobile gaming company that inspires people to explore the world together - and we are looking for a capable Creative Producer (Creative Production Manager) to build and manage our creative pipeline in Tokyo for Monster Hunter Now, ensuring that our assets meet brand guidelines and quality standards. You will be responsible for collaborating with artists, agencies, and other creative professionals to develop impactful creative concepts for both organic and paid campaigns. Additionally, you will manage project timelines and budgets. If you're an experienced creative professional who is a quantitative and creative problem solver, we'd love to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies and production companies to design and produce creative assets for campaigns, including but not limited to videos, banners, AR, taking into account the latest digital advertising trends.
  • Lead the creative production process, from ideation to final delivery, ensuring all assets are optimized for performance and aligned with our brand.
  • Analyze campaign performance data to understand the effectiveness of different creative assets and use these insights to guide future creative strategies.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with artists, agencies, and other creative partners, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality assets.
  • Lead asset approval process with our external partners, including IP holders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in mobile gaming and digital advertising to ensure our creative assets are innovative and competitive.
  • Work closely with the cross-functional teams to understand business goals and develop creative strategies that align with these objectives.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to creative teams to continuously improve the quality and performance of assets.
  • Manage budgets and timelines for creative projects, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.
  • Required in-office 3 days a week on average over the course of every quarter (can be any day of the week).

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a creative production or creative development role, ideally in the mobile gaming or digital advertising industry.
  • Proven track record of managing creative projects from conception to completion and experience using project management software such as JIRA.
  • Experience working with third party IP, operating within strict brand standards, and navigating brand feedback and approval processes.
  • Native in Japanese, and business level proficiency in English is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with artists, agencies, internal teams and external partners.
  • Highly analytical with a data-driven approach to creative decision-making.
  • Proficiency in creative software and tools relevant to asset production (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Passion for mobile gaming and a deep understanding of the gaming audience.
  • Plus if you have a strong understanding of user acquisition strategies and how creative assets drive performance in mobile gaming user acquisition.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including synchronous and asynchronous interactions with others.
