Position Summary:
Hogarth MVI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Creative Social Media Editor to join our dynamic post-production team. This role is pivotal in crafting engaging and impactful social media content for our global clients, ensuring brand consistency and maximizing audience reach. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a strong technical background in video editing, motion graphics, and a keen understanding of how to leverage cutting-edge AI tools for image, video, and sound generation, specifically tailored for the unique demands of social media platforms. You will be responsible for transforming raw assets into polished, platform-optimized content, working closely with creative teams and directly with offshore clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audiovisual Editing & Creation: Execute high-quality video editing for a variety of social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, LinkedIn), from concept to final delivery.
- Social Media Content Specialization: Demonstrate a deep understanding of social media trends, best practices, and platform-specific requirements (e.g., aspect ratios, video lengths, engagement features).
- Motion Design & Graphics: Create compelling motion graphics, animations, and text overlays to enhance visual storytelling and brand messaging within social media videos.
- AI-Powered Content Generation: Utilize AI platforms for image and video generation (e.g., Runway, Veo3, LTX) to create innovative visual assets, explore new creative directions, and enhance efficiency in content production.
- Sound Design & Audio Enhancement: Perform professional sound editing, mixing, and mastering using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Audition). Leverage AI audio generation tools (e.g., Eleven Labs, Suno) to create unique voiceovers, sound effects, and musical elements that elevate content quality.
- Content Adaptation: Expertly adapt existing content and create new content in various formats and timings (e.g., short-form vertical videos, long-form horizontal, carousels, stories) to suit different social media channels and campaign objectives.
- Technical Precision: Ensure all content adheres to technical specifications, including safe zones, aspect ratios, and file delivery requirements for optimal playback across devices.
- Reels & Videocase Editing: Specialize in the creation and editing of engaging short-form video content, particularly for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok, as well as compiling compelling videocases/showreels.
- Client Communication: Capable of direct and effective communication with offshore clients, understanding their needs, providing updates, and managing feedback loops with professionalism and clarity.
- Language Proficiency: Possess advanced English spoken and written communication skills, essential for seamless collaboration with international teams and clients.
- Time Management & Scheduling: Work effectively within the USA calendar, demonstrating strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Team Collaboration & Pressure Management: Thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, demonstrating a positive attitude, willingness to help, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to support demanding schedules.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of all edited content to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and technical excellence before final delivery.
Role Requirements:
- Audiovisual Editor with Social Media Proficiency: Proven experience as an audiovisual editor with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in editing and creating content specifically for social media platforms.
- Motion Design Experience: Demonstrated ability to create and integrate engaging motion graphics and animations.
- AI Content Generation Experience: Practical experience with AI image and video generation platforms such as Runway, Veo3, and LTX.
- Sound Editing Expertise: Proficient in professional sound editing, mixing, and mastering, including experience with AI audio generation tools like Eleven Labs and Suno.
- Content Adaptation Expertise: Proficient in adapting and optimizing content for various social media formats, aspect ratios, and timings.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of safe zones, aspect ratios, and video delivery specifications for social media.
- Reels & Videocase Editing: Specific experience in producing high-quality short-form video content for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok, as well as compiling professional videocases.
- Color Correction capabilities.
- Advanced English: Advanced ++ English spoken and written communication skills are mandatory.
- Client Communication: Proven ability to communicate directly and effectively with offshore clients.
- USA Calendar Awareness: Comfortable working according to the USA calendar and associated time zones.
- Attitude & Teamwork: Possesses a good attitude, is willing to help, and is a strong team player capable of supporting pressure and tight schedules.
Desired Skills and Experiences:
- +5 years of professional experience in video editing, with a significant focus on social media content.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing.
- Strong proficiency with Lumetri or Davinci for Colour Correction.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects for motion graphics design and animation.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Audition for audio mixing, mastering, and sound design.
- Strong proficiency across the Adobe Creative Suite, including:
- Adobe Photoshop: For image manipulation and graphic creation.
- Adobe Illustrator: For vector graphics and logo integration.
- Proficiency with AI image and video generation platforms: Runway, Veo3, LTX.
- Proficiency with AI audio generation platforms: Eleven Labs, Suno.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with VFX (Visual Effects) and tracking within video content.
- Familiarity with 3D software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender) for advanced motion graphics or product visualization.
- Background or experience in marketing and advertisement, understanding campaign objectives and target audience insights.
- Familiarity with ComfyUI for advanced AI image/video workflows.
- Experience with Pro Tools for advanced audio production.
