Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I CE Energy Marshall, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. • Oversees and assures the overall compliance of Microsoft’s Energy Isolation Program and establish acceptance criteria for authorizing campus Energy Isolation Plan.
• Implements learnings, provides consistency, and drives rigor into Microsoft’s Energy Isolation program and ensures program meets or exceeds company safety policy requirements.
• Utilise local code and standards as the foundation for Microsoft’s Energy Isolation program that is implemented throughout the campus.
• Establish with the Engineering team a centralized Lockout Tag Out (LOTO) procedure with all campus entities and determine if a group or individual LOTO procedure will be required.
• Commencement of energy isolation activities with updates on a continuous basis.
• Liaise with Microsoft construction team where Energy Isolation activities may potentially impact data center core operations.
• Act in coordination with the Engineering team as a subject matter expert in all energy isolation incident investigations in area of responsibility
• Participate in high-risk activity (HRA) planning meetings associated with energy isolation.
• Ensures high-risk SOWs (Statement of Work), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) and MOPs (Methods of Procedures) are reviewed, and all sources of energy are identified.
• Ensure a process is established that verifies qualifications, training, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for personnel performing the work.
• Generate monthly reports highlighting activities and general status of energy isolation program.
