Comscore is seeking a Data Analyst with strong analytical skills to design and build data solutions. The role involves partnering with teams across Analytics, Engineering, Sales, and Client Insights to develop a new audience measurement vertical, with exposure to digital, mobile, OTT, and TV product areas. Responsibilities include querying large datasets from relational databases like Snowflake and SQL Server, collaborating cross-functionally to build custom measurement data solutions, ensuring data quality assurance for key data solutions, identifying process efficiencies and automation opportunities, supporting the Sales team with data expertise, and presenting data insights to diverse audiences.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
  • 2 years' experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
  • Fluent in SQL, Python, PySpark, Snowflake, SQL Server, and Unix
Good to have:
  • 1 year of academic or professional experience building web scraping solutions
  • Solid understanding of HTML, XML, CSS, and XPath
  • 1 year of experience with Comscore's offerings or similar analytics experience
  • 1 year of experience leading analytical projects with minimal supervision

Location: Reston, VA or Remote East Coast (Must reside in the USA)

About This Role:
We’re seeking a Data Analyst with strong analytical skills in designing and building data solutions. The Data Analyst will have the opportunity to partner with team members spanning Analytics, Engineering, Sales, and Client Insights to help build a new audience measurement vertical, while also gain exposure to other Comscore product areas: digital, mobile, OTT, and TV.

What You'll Do:

  • Query relational databases such as Snowflake, SQL Server to extract, manipulate, and process TB sized datasets

  • Work cross functionally with Analytics, Engineering, Sales, and Client Insights team members to build custom measurement data solutions

  • Own production of key data solutions making sure appropriate data quality assurance (QA) processes are in place

  • Identify process efficiencies and automation opportunities

  • Support the Sales team by providing data domain expertise and feasibility analysis

  • Present data insights and findings to a broad range of technical and non-technical audience

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or related quantitative field + 2 years' experience as a Data Analyst or similar role

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or related quantitative field is acceptable

  • Fluent in utilizing data analytics stack including SQL, Python, PySpark, Snowflake, SQL Server, and Unix

  • Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000; commensurate with experience
     

Preferred Experience:

  • 1 year of academic or professional experience building scalable web scraping solutions with a solid understanding of HTML, XML, CSS, and XPath

  • 1 year of experience with Comscore’s offerings and research methods, or comparable analytics experience

  • 1 year of experience leading analytical projects with minimal supervision
