Job Description

As a Data Analyst at Keen Games, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct data tracking, integrating tracking where necessary, and analyzing data from the game and marketing campaigns. Your objective is to support the team in making informed decisions, serving as a reliable resource for both development and publishing. Key responsibilities include analyzing data, implementing tracking in Enshrouded, and translating business requirements into data solutions. You will be expected to analyze large datasets, create visualizations, and present findings clearly. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex data challenges. This role requires a love for data analysis and understanding how to use it to inform decisions.
Must have:
  • Proficiency in programming with C/C++
  • Experience with SQL
  • A love for data analysis
  • Strong understanding of statistics
  • Strong ability to analyze large datasets
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis

Keen Games is an independent developer and publisher with a long history of developing games for PC, consoles, handhelds, and mobile. Working at Keen Games means working with super experienced, passionate, and humble people.

In 2024 we have successfully released our latest game Enshrouded. Now we are looking for someone who love data and is not only able to analyze data, but also capable of implementing tracking in Enshrouded. Someone who is dedicated to collecting and analysing the data that is available to us, who thinks about what additional data we should collect, who brings all the data together, so that we can make data-supported decisions in the design of Enshrouded and in our marketing efforts.

Data Analysts (m/w/d)

As a data analyst, you are responsible for ensuring that we are tracking the right data. You will integrate tracking where necessary and analyse not only the data we receive from the game, but also the data available to us from our marketing campaigns (UA, influencers, etc.). Your long-term goal is to help the team make smart decisions and become a reliable source to support both the development and publishing team.

Our ideal candidate is based in the European time zone and fulfils the following requirements:

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in programming with C/C++
  • Experience with SQL
  • A love for data analysis
  • Strong understanding of statistics
  • Analytical skills: strong ability to analyze, interpret, and manipulate large datasets
  • Data visualization: proficiency in tools like Grafana, Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Programming skills: experience with Python or R for data analysis
  • Communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings clearly
  • Problem-solving skills: strong abilities to tackle complex data challenges
  • Business acumen: ability to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with server programming

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree: a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Certifications: relevant certifications in data analysis, data science, or related areas
  • Experience: prior experience in a similar role, preferably within the industry of the hiring company
  • Database management: knowledge of database management and querying, including familiarity with relational databases and data warehousing solutions
