This role will be required to be onsite at the Demonware Vancouver office following the team's work schedule (hybrid, 3 days a week), a relocation package may be offered depending on eligibility.

Demonware is a member of the Activision family of studios. We work alongside engineers and creatives at our AAA partner studios and deliver the online and data services required by our franchises. We craft, develop, and host services for some of the world’s biggest video game franchises, including Call of Duty and Crash Bandicoot.

Demonware hosts millions of concurrently connected players. Some of the technologies we use are Python, Java, Linux, Vitess, Kafka, Pinot, Spark, Databricks, Tableau. We solve tough problems on a day-to-day basis, and our Co-op students have a huge impact on what we do.
We’re looking for a Data Analyst to partner closely with our Product team to drive data-informed decision-making. You’ll play a critical role in uncovering insights, measuring product performance, and helping shape the product roadmap. Think of yourself as the go-to person for turning raw data into actionable insights that fuel product innovation.
The Role
Analyze and interpret data from a variety of systems, including but not limited to fraud analysis, disruptive behavior, and prosocial behavior in gaming communities.
Build,maintain, and improve dashboards and reports that inform decision making and strategy.
Identify and interpret trends and anomalies in the data, and offer opinions in support of product strategy.
Filter, clean, and validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability in reporting and analysis.
Present data findings and recommendations regularly to the Product team and other stakeholders.
Proactively surface insights and recommendations to improve player experience, reduce fraud, and foster positive behavior in gaming communities.
Collaborate regularly with Activision data science/machine learning teams and game studios.
This role is part of the Demonware product team and as a result will require an inquisitive mind that cares about the “why” behind the data.
Requirements
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL).
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams across Activision.
Passionate about data and applying an analytical mindset to inform product decisions.
Ability to conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and provide insights into key metrics.
A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings in a clear and actionable way.
The ability to work well, both autonomously, as part of a larger team, and asynchronously.
Nice-to-haves
Experience with Tableau.
Experience with proposing and running experiments.
Basic understanding of Machine Learning techniques for data analysis.
Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Spark.
Experience in using project management tools.

The standard base pay range for this role is 65,000 CAD annually. This value is the expected annualized base pay of interns in British Columbia, Canada. Ultimately, your offer will be based on several factors, including relevant education, performance, and work location.
