Data Analyst Specialist

Role in team:

• An experienced contributor who can handle most analytical tasks with minimal supervision, leading smaller analysis projects.
• Works independently but collaborates closely with specialists and senior analysts on complex, business-critical projects.
• Bridges the gap between foundational analysis work and more strategic analysis, supporting the team on advanced tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform complex data analysis tasks, such as multi-dimensional analysis, cohort analysis, and segmentation, driving insights for key business initiatives.
• Prepare detailed and advanced reports and dashboards that inform decision-making across multiple departments or business units.
• Conduct thorough exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, outliers, or opportunities, and present findings to stakeholders.
• Lead smaller projects independently, taking on some project management responsibilities and working across teams (e.g., marketing, product management).
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in data analysis workflows.

Experience level:

• 2-3 years of experience in data analysis or a related field
• Proficient in advanced data analysis tools (SQL, Python, R) and strong knowledge of business processes. Capable of working with larger datasets and complex data models.

Focus:

1. Advanced Analytical Work:  tackling business-critical analysis, often focused on key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategic business objectives.
2. Building Expertise: Refining technical expertise in advanced data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), while gaining a stronger understanding of how analysis influences high-level business decisions.
