As a Data Analytics Manager, you will be a vital member of our data engineering team, responsible for crafting and implementing data-driven reporting and calculation models to deliver actionable business insights within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. You will bring expertise in data validation, custom earnings calculations, predictive modeling, and the development of interactive dashboards. Beyond technical skills, this role requires strong business process insight, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams. Your deep understanding of BI solutions and passion for data integrity will contribute to impactful business decision-making.

Technical Proficiency in BI and Data Analytics

• Expert-level experience with Power BI for building data models, reporting, and dashboard design.
• Proficient in DAX for creating advanced calculations, metrics, and custom measures.
• Strong experience with Power Query and Dataflows for data ingestion, transformation, and validation.

Programming and Analytical Skills

• Proficiency in SQL for managing data structures and executing complex queries.
• Experience with Python or R for developing custom calculation models, especially for AI-driven analytics and forecasting.
• Familiarity with .NET or C# for backend or integration work, particularly in creating custom Power BI connectors.

AI and Machine Learning Proficiency

• Practical knowledge of Power BI Copilot for AI-assisted data insights and process automation.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI integration for advanced predictive modeling and anomaly detection.

Business Acumen and Soft Skills

• Skilled at “big picture” strategic thinking with the ability to dive into detailed analysis and problem-solving.
• Proven capacity to handle ambiguity, adapt quickly, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders and delivering complex information in a clear, concise manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: 4+ years in data analysis, reporting, data science, or business intelligence, with experience in SQL, Python, and R.
• Additional Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft’s cloud services (Azure, Fabric), advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for effective data presentations.
• Certifications: Power BI, Azure, or AI/ML certifications are highly advantageous

1. Calculation and Earnings Modeling

• Design and implement complex DAX expressions in Power BI to create custom earnings calculations based on various parameters, such as sales revenue and unit sales.
• Develop custom logic in Azure Synapse or Dataflows to handle incentive rate rules unique to specific partners, SKUs, and other business factors.
• Ensure calculation models are optimized for performance, scalability, and accuracy across data sources.

2. Data Validation and Quality Assurance

• Leverage Power Query and Dataflows for post-calculation validation, identifying and addressing discrepancies against historical benchmarks to ensure data consistency.
• Set up automated alerts and validation reports in Power BI, ensuring real-time monitoring of data accuracy and key metrics for stakeholders.
• Build data quality frameworks that validate data integrity, streamline workflows, and enhance data governance.

3. Dashboard Development and Interactive Reporting

• Develop highly interactive Power BI dashboards that provide drill-down capabilities and filterable views to meet diverse business needs, from regional earnings insights to SKU-specific trends.
• Implement real-time reporting solutions to ensure that stakeholders receive up-to-date information for timely decision-making.
• Prepare and deliver visually compelling reports and presentations that provide clear insights into complex data and patterns.

4. AI-Driven Predictive Insights and Advanced Calculations

• Utilize Power BI Copilot to automate repetitive calculations and apply AI-driven suggestions for historical trend analysis and forecasting.
• Integrate with Azure OpenAI to develop predictive models and perform anomaly detection, contributing to advanced decision-making capabilities for incentive programs and sales forecasting.
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate machine learning models within Power BI, creating bespoke solutions that drive deeper analytical insights.

5. Cloud and Data Platform Knowledge

• Deep familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Azure analytics services (e.g., Synapse, Data Factory, Service Bus) for large-scale data processing and integration.
• Knowledge of ARM Templates for infrastructure setup and Azure DevOps for version control and continuous integration/deployment.

6. Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Business, Operations, Engineering) to gather requirements, translate technical specifications, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Effectively communicate project timelines, deliverables, and insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, tailoring messages as needed.
• Act as a primary liaison for data-related inquiries and troubleshooting, providing Tier 3 support when needed to resolve complex data issues.
