Job Description

The Data Analytics Sales Specialist at Google Cloud Platform will build and maintain executive customer relationships, acting as a data analytics expert influencing long-term strategic direction. Responsibilities include developing and executing strategic account plans, identifying suitable use cases for Google Cloud solutions, articulating key differentiators and business impacts, and collaborating with Google accounts and technical teams to drive pipelines and Go-To-Market efforts. This role requires a deep understanding of data analytics technology and the ability to build business cases and implementation plans with engineering and customer teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales experience in data analytics or data management technologies and experience working with commercial and legal agreements.

Must have:

7+ years selling data analytics technologies
Experience with commercial/legal agreements
Collaborating with engineers and technical leads
Building business cases and implementation plans
Executive relationship building

Good to have:

Experience with internal/external teams
Software estate inventory & transformation planning
Knowledge of Cloud & Data Analytics products (BigQuery, Looker etc.)
Strategic business planning within complex cycles
Ability to execute a complete business pitch & customer transformation strategy

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience selling data analytics or data management technologies to clients.
Experience with commercial and legal agreements with Procurement, Legal, and Business teams.
Experience in working with engineers and customer technical leads to build business cases and accompanying plans for implementation.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience working with internal/external teams, including Account teams, Technical leads, Procurement, and Legal, to inventory existing software estate, build cases for transformation with implementation plans, and close agreements.
Experience in prioritizing and planning business activity and transformation strategies within complex business cycles aligned to Data and Analytics.
Knowledge of trends, products, and solutions in Cloud and Data and Analytics (BigQuery, Looker, Dataproc, Pub/Sub), including experience with data analytics technology stack.
Ability to plan and execute a start-to-finish business pitch, and customer transformation strategy aligned to Data and Analytics.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain executive relationships with customers as the data analytics subject matter expert, influencing long-term strategic direction.
Develop and execute strategic account plans, including a broader enterprise plan across key industries, and focus on building accounts.
Assist customers in identifying use cases suitable for Google Cloud, Data and Analytics solutions, articulating key solution differentiators and measurable business impacts.
Work with Google accounts and technical teams to develop and drive pipelines, provide expertise, and develop Go-To-Market (GTM) efforts with Google Cloud Platform partners.
