About the job:
The Data Center Operations Facility Manager is responsible for the daily operations of Google's data centers in Chiba, Japan. They will be responsible for planning and executing campus operational budgets, expense forecasting, and managing established budgets. They will also be responsible for meeting service level agreements (SLAs) with internal teams on uptime, efficiencies, and cost. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience as a Facilities Manager or Chief Engineer, with 5 years of experience in maintenance of electrical distribution systems in a construction/technical environment, or a related field. They will also have excellent people management and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. The ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently is required to support internal and external stakeholders in this region. Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience as a Facilities Manager or Chief Engineer.
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently.
