Summary

The Data Center Technician III at Scientific Games will plan, facilitate, and execute system and functional testing and UAT for projects and enhancements. Responsibilities include monitoring software and hardware supporting the sports wagering system, ensuring system accuracy and security, and providing guidance to other groups on IT processes and best practices. The role involves acting as a liaison between the lottery client and software development, working through the entire lifecycle of system changes, troubleshooting critical issues, testing and deploying content, writing technical specifications, and assisting with various testing activities (including lottery application software and video testing). Additional duties include sports software implementation, escalation for operational issues, weekly testing and processing, working with field service to troubleshoot problems, creating procedural documentation, and reporting to management. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management and communication skills, experience with Unix and Windows systems, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.

Position Summary

Job Description

·        Ability to plan, facilitate and execute system and functional testing and UAT for projects and enhancements.

·        Ability to follow maintenance protocols in accordance with all company protocols to ensure systems accuracy and security.

·        Monitor all software and hardware that support the sports wagering system.

·        Strong attention to detail is required to ensure all aspects of the operational environment are maintained

·        Ability to provide guidance to other groups regarding IT processes, risks and best practices as it pertains to the Operations environment.

·        Act as a Liaison between the lottery client and software development on assessing client's needs and requests and interpreting those into the technical documentation needed to initiate the software development process

·        Responsible for working with development, the local support staff and the client for the entire life cycle of a change to the central system, from entry of request, to ensuring QC, to packaging within a scheduled software release.

·        Ability to problem solve and gather data to troubleshoot and resolve critical system issues

·        Test and deploy content to production devices including LIMS and KENO hardware.

·        Ability to write, maintain, and execute software and technical requirement specifications

·        Assist with Testing Lottery Application Software

·        Assist with Video testing

·        Create and execute test plans for various system testing

·        Sports Software Implementation in the Production Environment

·        Escalation person for Sports/Keno/Operational issues

·        Sports Parlay Card Weekly Testing

·        Processing Weekly Mail Pays

·        Work with Field Service to Troubleshoot and Diagnose Problems

·        Create Procedural Documentation for Sports as assigned

·        Log and report problems to management

·        Must be able to prioritize tasks as assigned

·        Ability to work with field staff, Retailer base, and Lottery to troubleshoot and resolve different situations

·        Other duties as assigned


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

·        Associate Degree in Computer Science or 2 years of relevant experience.

·        Strong time management skills

·        Strong communication skills

·        Experience in Unix and Windows based systems.

·        Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies
