Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role requires a proactive individual capable of designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, reliable data solutions within the Tetris platform. Responsibilities include collaborating on data solutions and analytics, utilizing PySpark, Databricks, SQL, and PowerBI for data processing and visualization, ensuring efficient access and management of HIR data (with a focus on POS data), and participating in regular meetings. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in the mentioned technologies and be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment within the LA time zone.

Must have:

Proficiency in PySpark, Databricks, SQL, and PowerBI
Strong analytical skills and POS data experience
Independent and collaborative work in remote team
Develop and maintain high-performance data solutions

Good to have:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Data warehousing, ETL processes knowledge
Python or Scala programming
Data governance, quality management understanding
Agile methodologies and CI/CD familiarity

Project description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in PySpark, Databricks, SQL, and PowerBI. This role requires a proactive individual capable of designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, reliable data solutions.

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely within the Tetris platform to develop data solutions and analytics

Utilize PySpark, Databricks, SQL, and PowerBI for data processing and visualization

Ensure efficient access and management of HIR data, with a focus on POS data

Participate in regular meetings and communicate effectively within the LA time zone

Skills

Must have

Proficiency in PySpark, Databricks, SQL, and PowerBI

Strong analytical skills and experience handling POS data

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment

Nice to have

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)

Familiarity with data warehousing solutions and ETL processes

Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Scala

Understanding of data governance and data quality management

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes
