As a hands-on Data Lead, you will architect and deliver end-to-end data features for booking and content management systems. You will lead a team and manage the data pipeline lifecycle within batch, real-time, and NoSQL environments. Responsibilities include leading the development of data features, building and optimizing data pipelines using tools like Airflow and Databricks, overseeing infrastructure, supporting data PMs, handling client data queries, and managing a team of data engineers and analysts. You will also collaborate with DevOps teams on deployment, monitoring, and optimization and champion best practices in data governance. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to drive data-driven solutions for Fortune 500 companies.

Must have:

8+ years of data engineering or analytics engineering experience.
2+ years of experience managing and guiding a data team.
Proficiency in SQL and Python, and experience with modern data stack tools.
Experience with distributed and NoSQL databases.

Good to have:

Experience with scalable data architecture and real-time streaming pipelines.
Familiarity with booking platforms or CMS architectures.
Experience leading teams and mentoring junior developers.

Job Details

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a hands-on Data Lead to architect and deliver end-to-end data features that power our booking and content management systems. You’ll lead a team, own the data pipeline lifecycle, and play a critical role in shaping and scaling our data infrastructure — spanning batch, real-time, and NoSQL environments.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of booking and CMS data features according to the roadmap.
Build, optimize, and manage robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using tools like Airflow, DBT, and Databricks.
Oversee infrastructure and storage layers across distributed systems (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB, Postgres), ensuring scalability, availability, and performance.
Support and partner with Data PMs to deliver clean, actionable data for reporting, analytics, and experimentation.
Handle client data queries, investigate anomalies, and proactively improve data quality and debugging workflows.
Manage a team of data engineers and analysts: provide architectural direction, review code, and support career growth.
Collaborate with DevOps/Platform teams on deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization of data services.
Champion best practices in data governance, version control, security, and documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering with a strong focus on both data modeling and infrastructure.
2+ years of experience of managing and guiding data team to realize complicated data features.
Proficient in SQL, Python, and working with modern data stack tools (e.g., DBT, Databricks, Airflow).
Experience managing distributed and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB), and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
Strong understanding of scalable data architecture and real-time streaming pipelines is a plus.
Experience in leading teams, setting code standards, and mentoring junior developers.
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable data systems.
Familiarity with booking platforms, CMS architectures, or event-based tracking systems is a plus!
