The Data Quality Assurance Analyst will work with reporting and product QA members to create and deliver test solutions for the growing private health portal business. The role involves translating business requirements into test plans and scripts, developing SQL scripts for data flow automation, and ensuring efficient data processing. The analyst will also act as a liaison between data/reporting and product teams, analyze data for compliance, manage documentation, design and execute test cases, and collaborate with teams for QA best practices. The candidate should possess strong QA skills, knowledge of testing healthcare systems and experience in writing code for automated web testing tools.
Must have:
  • Translate business requirements into test plans and scripts.
  • Develop SQL scripts to automate data flow through pipelines.
  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and SQL.
  • Expertise in reading and writing SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of testing healthcare systems and industry standards.

You will work side-by-side with reporting and product QA members to create and deliver scalable test solutions that can serve our rapidly growing private health portal business. An ideal candidate for this position can jump into our ongoing projects and come up to speed quickly, exercising independent judgment to make the best use of their time. We expect excellent knowledge of software testing practices, test automation, and prior experience working cross-functionally using agile methodologies. 
Responsibilities: 
  • Collaborate with the team to translate business requirements and functional specifications into test plans, test scripts and drive for high-quality software practices
  • Develop complex SQL scripts to automate data flow through pipelines, ensuring efficient and accurate data processing. 
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the data pipeline to ensure seamless integration for product use. 
  • Act as a lead liason between data\reporting and product teams
  • Analyze data for compliance with design specification (source-to-target) and expected/anticipated behaviors, identifying quality issues and recommending solutions.
  • Manage documentation related to data quality 
  • Design, implement and execute test plans and test cases following best practices and techniques
  • Collaborate across teams and departments to ensure QA best practices are being performed for Thesaurus integration testing 
  • Data mapping of the data model to ensure adequate testing scope
Education: 
● Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent work experience 
Experience: 
  • 7+ years working in Quality Assurance and SQL
  • Expert reading and writing SQL queries 
  • Understand our multiple product domains in detail and put that understanding to use to ensure optimal test coverage

 

Skills: 
  • Knowledge of testing health care systems, informatics, knowledge of health care industry data formats and standards 
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, software testing processes and best practices 
  • Strong testing skills, proven by a track record of success 
  • Ability to translate use cases and/or technical specifications into test cases
  • Ability to write code for automated web testing tools, services and frameworks 
  • Ability to understand technical specifications 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug technical processes 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and think creatively
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication 
  • Working knowledge of tools like xWiki, BitBucket and Jenkins
