Job Description
Trendyol seeks Data Science Professionals specializing in Computer Vision and NLP. Responsibilities include fostering a data-driven culture, developing scalable Computer Vision solutions, researching advanced techniques (including multimodal approaches), translating business challenges into machine learning solutions (image search, recommendation systems, content moderation), collaborating with cross-functional teams, and synthesizing data insights into actionable strategies. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of hands-on experience, proficiency in Python and SQL, deep learning expertise, and a strong theoretical foundation in Computer Vision and NLP. Experience with production-level machine learning pipelines and multimodal models is highly desirable.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Your Main Responsibilities
- Champion a Data-Driven Culture: Lead initiatives to foster a data-driven mindset across teams, ensuring that decisions are backed by robust data insights.
- Innovate with Image Data: Develop scalable Computer Vision solutions to solve real-world business challenges using advanced techniques, including multimodal approaches (e.g., vision-language models).
- Explore Cutting-Edge Techniques: Research and apply the latest developments in image similarity, object detection, segmentation, and beyond to keep us at the forefront of technology-
- Bridge Machine Learning and Business Needs: Translate complex business challenges into machine learning solutions, particularly in areas like image search, recommendation systems, and catalog/content moderation.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with business, product, and technical teams to harness the power of data for meaningful solutions that deliver measurable results.
- Synthesize Insights into Strategy: Transform data-driven insights into actionable strategies that shape our business approach.
Qualities We Are Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields.
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in Computer Vision and/or NLP with a proven track record, ideally with some exposure to search, recommendation, or catalog/content moderation applications.
- Technical Skills:
- NLP Knowledge: Strong theoretical foundation in Natural Language Processing (NLP) with hands-on experience applying NLP techniques to complement multimodal approaches.
- Production-Scale Experience: Familiarity with large-scale, production-level machine learning pipelines for image processing and multimodal applications.
- Specialization in Computer Vision: Deep expertise in image similarity, object detection, and segmentation.
- Multimodal Model Knowledge: Familiarity with multimodal approaches (e.g., vision-language models) is highly desirable.
- Research Acumen: Ability to track, analyze, and implement the latest trends and research in Computer Vision and/or NLP.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficient in Python and SQL for data analysis and model building.
- Expertise in deep learning toolkits
- Strong theoretical foundation in Computer Vision and Machine Learning, with a deep understanding of core concepts, algorithms, and principles in the domain.

We offer a hybrid model that combines the productivity of remote work with the bonding and collaboration of in-office work. Teams are expected to work from our offices on designated days each week, fostering team spirit, creativity and cross team collaboration as part of our culture.
We also provide a summer working model, with a two-month fully remote work opportunity during July and August.
The hybrid working model only applies to hybrid roles; on-site roles require regular office presence.
