Job Description
InnoGames seeks a Data Scientist to join its Analytics team. Responsibilities include developing machine learning solutions (churn prediction, marketing attribution, outlier prediction), creating quantitative models to predict user behavior, driving game optimization through data insights (personalized content, advertising), consulting business stakeholders, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with tech and business departments. The role involves transforming data into meaningful insights, visualizing findings, and connecting results with stakeholder expectations. The position offers full-time or part-time (32h/week) options. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant university degree, at least 2 years of Data Science experience, proficiency in SQL and R/Python (Airflow and Google Cloud are a plus), and strong analytical and communication skills.

We are looking for a Data Scientist to enhance our Analytics team. The Analytics department at InnoGames combines data enthusiasts from different backgrounds (product and marketing analysts, market researchers and data scientists) with one vision: we provide the whole data story of our games to enable the best data driven decisions. With your experience in statistical methods and applied computer science, you contribute to our data-driven mindset by drawing fact-based conclusions as well as developing machine learning algorithms that make our work more efficient and easier.
This position supports the option for either full-time or part-time (32h/week) employment.
Your mission
- Move beyond the ‘AI’ buzzword! – Draft machine learning solutions for various use cases such as churn prediction, marketing attribution or outlier prediction. Experience the rewarding feeling when your models are put into practice and enhance the in-game journey for millions of players.
- Understand our players! – Create quantitative models from scratch to predict, evaluate and simulate user behavior. Uncover new insights that enhance user experience and engagement.
- Drive game optimization! – Enable our teams to deliver personalized game experiences by leveraging data insights. Work on projects ranging from personalized content and offer curation to advertising and community feedback integration.
- Consult our business stakeholders! – Transform billions of data points into meaningful insights. Dive deep into complex patterns, translate them into concise explanations, visualize findings compellingly, and connect results with existing theories and stakeholder expectations.
- Make the difference! - We never just “pull data” - our results allow to track impact, solve a problem, decide on an alternative or improve our products/business. Your opinion matters and stakeholders ranging from Creatives to Product Managers to Top Management are eager to hear it.
- Ensure data quality! – Be proficient in data QA and validation, ensuring that the data and insights we rely on are accurate and reliable. Your expertise in this area will be key as it supports our commitment to high-quality data-driven decision-making.
- Team up! – Collaborate with tech and business departments to create solutions that leave a lasting impact on the company’s success.
- Learn & innovate! – Stay up to date in a fast-moving Data Science field. Our big data playground contains a tons of data waiting for you to analyze and explore new methods and approaches.
Your skill set
- Theoretical background. You have a university degree with a statistical/mathematical focus (e.g. mathematics, data science, IT, social sciences, psychology).
- Professional experience. You have professional experience of at least 2 years in the field of Data Science.
- Tool knowledge. You are proficient in SQL and R/Python. Airflow and Google Cloud is a plus.
- Proven expertise. You have experience in the application of machine learning algorithms and data mining methods from concept to production.
- Analytical thinking. You have a data-driven mindset and distinct analytical thinking.
- Collaborative attitude. You are a team player.
- Effective communication. You communicate confidently in English and have overall good communication skills.
